State Bank of India posts higher quarterly profit
State Bank of India NSE:SBIN, the country's largest lender by assets, reported a 12.5% year-on-year rise in quarterly profit on Friday, helped by higher non-lending income.
The state-run bank reported a net profit of 191.60 billion rupees ($2.18 billion) in the three months to June end, compared with 170.35 billion rupees a year earlier.
