Maruti Suzuki India's 'Victoris' Features Could Help Capture Rivals Share — Market Talk
Maruti Suzuki India's 'Victoris' sport utility vehicle appears feature-rich with strong potential, Nomura analysts say in a research report. Features include the automotive segment's first underbody compressed natural gas tank, which could appeal to consumers, the analysts say. The automaker expects 'Victoris' to capture share from rivals with a diesel-heavy portfolio, aided by the underbody CNG tank. Maruti Suzuki India could sell around 15,000 units a month combined for 'Victoris' and 'Grand Vitara,' another SUV, the analysts estimate. Nomura has a neutral rating and a target price of INR15,031.00 on the shares, which are 0.6% higher at INR15,360.30. (ronnie.harui@wsj.com)
